Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Technology (JNIT) is promoted by Sri Gnana Saraswati Educational Society (SGSES), founded in 2006 by a team of committed educationists under the chairmanship of Sri M. Janaki Ram with a dream to establish and nurture institutions of excellence. Their vision is to offer value based and quality education in Management, Arts, Science, Engineering and Technology. JNIT, the jewel in the crown of SGSES was established in 2007 to offer engineering education with approval from AICTE and affiliation to JNTUH.
The Institute is now offers B.Tech. courses in CSE with an intake of 120, EEE with an intake of 90, ECE with 60 and IT with 60 and Post Graduate courses like MBA(60) and MCA(60). All the Departments are headed and consist of highly qualified and well experienced faculty. The laboratories across all Departments are well equipped and have state of the art net connectivity.
The college is located away from the hustle and bustle of the urban life at Bongloor X Roads in an 18 acre campus. It is just 10 km away from LB Nagar X Roads abetting the Sagar Highway and is well connected to all parts of the city by bus. The college operates its own transport to carry students and staff from all corners of the city.
